Parts Cleaner

The candidate will be responsible for glass beading sheet metal pieces before they are assembled. If you have experience with sandblasting, it is transferable, and glass beading can be taught.

Responsibilities

• Set up machinery and work stations to clean parts, including lifting up to 50lbs.
• Utilize powered machinery to clean parts using small glass beads and air power, including wearing appropriate PPE such as respirators, goggles, protective suits, and forced air systems.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.

Shift: 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for a two-week training period, followed by a regular shift from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m.

Essential Skills

• Machine operating experience.
• Industrial painting.
• Production parts cleaning.
• Sandblasting.
• Experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Mechanical ability.
• Ability to use basic blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience as a mechanical assembler or similar role.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to handle assembly tasks.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from. The role is based in a fast-paced manufacturing facility equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. You will primarily work independently in the fabrication department, although collaboration with others may be required on occasion. Be prepared to stand or sit for 8 hours at a time, performing repetitive tasks, and work behind closed doors, wearing proper PPE and a respirator.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Allentown, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
