Job Summary

As a Phlebotomist, you will:

• Obtain laboratory specimens for processing from patients, ensuring adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Collect and manage blood samples with a focus on patient safety during the procedure.
• Thoroughly record and document patient information.
• Follow appropriate safety regulations and standard procedures, utilizing aseptic techniques during phlebotomy.
• Communicate effectively with patients, providing information and answering questions about the collection process.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

• A high school diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED).
• Prior experience in a medical setting is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology.
• Completion of a formal phlebotomy program or relevant experience in a laboratory setting is preferred.
• Possible requirement for Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
