Salary Range: $83,200.00 - $93,184.00
As a Clinical Nurse II, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care within our Medical/Surgical unit. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assessing, coordinating, planning, directing, implementing, and managing patient care throughout their hospital stay.
- Ensuring a focus on progress towards discharge, particularly during transitions within the acute care setting.
- Delivering and coordinating care alongside a dedicated nursing team, ensuring compassionate and competent care for all patients.
- Implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, and performing necessary treatments and procedures.
- Ordering, interpreting, and evaluating diagnostic tests to assess and identify patient conditions.
- Collaborating with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.
- Providing primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries.
- Guiding ancillary personnel and maintaining high standards of professional nursing.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of a professional academic nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree).
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); additional certifications may be required for specific departments.
- Previous experience as a PCA or nursing assistant is preferred.
- A commitment to continuing education and improving job performance.
- Knowledge of quality concepts and the ability to apply them towards departmental and patient care improvements.
