Part-Time Contract HR Generalist

LHH is seeking a proactive and experienced Part-Time Contract HR Generalist for a job opportunity in Mooresville, NC to support day-to-day HR operations during a key transition period. This is a fully on-site role working Monday - Friday, 9:30 am - 1:30 pm each day.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update internal HR documentation, including procedures, checklists, and employee records
• Conduct internal audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance within the HRIS system
• Respond to employment verification and other HR-related inquiries
• Coordinate and analyze employee engagement surveys, presenting insights to leadership
• Recommend and implement approved policy and process improvements
• Ensure adherence to employment laws and internal policies; assist with investigations and employee relations matters
• Support recruitment efforts for key roles, including sourcing, screening, and onboarding
• Facilitate new hire processes such as orientations, background checks, and benefits enrollment
• Collaborate with payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing; assist with payroll tasks as needed
• Track and report on HR metrics for leadership and company-wide meetings
• Manage budgets related to employee programs, training, and recognition
• Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback for continuous improvement
• Stay informed on HR trends and compliance updates
• Support employee development, training initiatives, and performance management processes
• Coordinate employee appreciation efforts and internal events
• Promote a positive workplace culture aligned with company values
• Ensure workplace safety and compliance with health and safety regulations
• Perform additional HR-related duties as needed

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in a generalist or similar HR role
• Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices
• Proficiency with HR systems
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Professional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Pay Details: $30.00 to $32.00 per hour
