Job Summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) is a crucial caregiver in our long-term care environment, providing resident-centered nursing care and assisting with daily living activities under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). You will deliver compassionate care tailored to the age-related physical and psychological needs of our residents, following care plans diligently. As part of our nursing team, you will uphold high standards for infection prevention and control and will provide essential support with:

• Basic health care needs including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Obtaining and recording vital signs.
• Providing psychosocial support and personal care.
• Assisting residents with mobility tasks such as transferring and repositioning.
• Creating an enjoyable dining experience, including assistance with meals and hydration.
• Documenting resident interactions, behavior, and care outcomes.
• Maintaining cleanliness and order in living areas.
• Encouraging participation in wellness and recreational programs.

This is an evening weekend position, ideal for individuals seeking meaningful work while balancing other commitments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Minimum age of 16 years.
• Previous clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care is advantageous.
• Must possess a valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or be enrolled in a CNA training program, obtaining certification within four months.
• Complete annual competency testing and maintain continuing education credits (minimum of 12 hours required).
• State certification with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry may be required.
• A valid driver's license and a clean motor vehicle report may be necessary for driving-related responsibilities.
