Part-time Behavioral Health Consultant

Join our dedicated team as a Part-time Behavioral Health Consultant!

As a Behavioral Health Consultant, you will provide essential primary care-based behavioral health services to clients facing complex or chronic challenges. You'll work collaboratively within a team, integrating counseling and therapeutic services into individualized care plans set by primary care providers. This opportunity is available for either a PsyD/PhD clinical psychologist or an independently licensed Master's-level mental health therapist.

Position Highlights:

• Clinical Psychologist:
  • Receive a $5,000 hiring bonus on your first paycheck.
  • Hourly wage of $59.13.
• Master's-level Independently Licensed Therapist:
  • Receive a $2,500 hiring bonus on your first paycheck and an additional $1,000 at 12 months.
  • Hourly wage of $49.28.

What You'll Do:

• Deliver on-site behavioral health services within a primary care setting.
• Consult with healthcare providers to enhance the care of patients.
• Act as either the primary or ancillary mental health provider as needed.
• Support the healthcare team with diagnoses and definitions of mental health issues.
• Collaborate to provide comprehensive biopsychosocial-spiritual care, prioritizing team and patient goals.
• Utilize evidence-based practices for shared decision-making to aid patients in navigating the healthcare system.
• Work closely with an interdisciplinary team on treatment plans and patient advocacy.
• Conduct training for staff and community organizations based on your expertise as needed.
• Engage in developing research-related funding proposals.
• Collaborate with other providers to manage patient referrals.
• Provide backup and coverage for colleagues when required.
• May assign patients to team clinicians as necessary.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Ensure clinical practices align with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Represent the program in team meetings as requested.
• Contribute to the development of new behavioral health initiatives and programs.

Qualifications:

Clinical Psychologist Requirements:

• Education: Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology.
• Preferred Experience: One year working in a multidisciplinary team within primary care or similar settings, plus experience treating children and families.
• Licensing: Must be a licensed psychologist in the state of practice with a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 45 days of hire.

Master's Level Therapist Requirements:

• Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field.
• Required Experience: Two years postgraduate experience in direct treatment of mental health issues, supervised by a mental health professional. Washington's Mental Health Professional (MHP) designation can be substituted.
• Licensing: Must have a current BLS certification and apply for either an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT within a week of hire.

Additional Requirements:

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
