Hours Per Week: 20

Schedule: 9:00AM - 3:00PM

SUMMARY:

Join our dedicated team as an Associate Therapist, where you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals on their journey to recovery from addiction. You will be involved in patient screening, case management, and crisis response, providing essential support and guidance. Your responsibilities will also include tasks directed by OASAS Scope of Practice, which encompass intake, group facilitation, and educational initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Screen clients seeking admission to substance use disorder programs.
• Conduct intake and orientation sessions.
• Manage cases, provide referrals, and assist with care coordination.
• Respond to basic crises and support clients before and after admission.
• Facilitate group sessions with proper supervision.
• Deliver psychiatric and addiction education to clients.
• Maintain accurate reporting and records as required by programs and stakeholders.
• Make collateral calls and obtain necessary consents.
• Engage clients during intake through phone, video, or in-person meetings.
• Prepare and oversee toxicology screenings.
• Collaborate as a key member of an interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to obtain CASAC-T certification within 12 months.
• Completion of a clinical internship in chemical dependency or at least one year of related work experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• CASAC-P certification is preferred.

EDUCATION/LICENSING CERTIFICATIONS:

QHP - Qualified Health Professional - NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This role is primarily sedentary, requiring up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, with walking or standing for brief periods as necessary.

PAY RANGE:

$19.50 - $27.25

The pay range represents a good faith estimate of potential base pay for successful applicants. Future modifications may be made, and additional pay components may apply based on various factors.
