Kitchen Expo

Overview: It is the responsibility of the Kitchen Expo to assist the servers in all aspects of the dining experience by preparing meal trays and performing the following duties. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the company's brand standard and core values.

Responsibilities: Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Fills individual serving cartons with portions of various foods and condiments such as cream, and sauces.
• Stock to-go and left over stations.
• Clean trays/tray stands.
• Clean/Wipe the Expo Line and doors to the Dining Room, sweep the Expo Line.
• Prebus as needed; assisting everyone to ensure the guest is receiving what they want or need immediately.
• Portions and garnishes hot cooked foods, such as meat, seafood, and vegetables, into individual serving dishes.
• Removes plates from the table once the guests are finished with their meal.
• Prepares garnishments on the various designated shifts.
• Assure that food and beverages are presented according to the guest's specifications and menu descriptions.
• Knowledge of menu items, garnishes, and plate specifications.
• Complete assigned side-work/set-up and breakdown of station.
• Complete special projects as requested by Management, or Chef.
• Notify Chef or Manager of any issues/problems that arise, immediately.
• Use proper stock rotation and storage areas.
• Use proper safety and sanitation guidelines; use proper food handling techniques when handling food.
• Adhere to policies and procedures to maintain our uncompromising food philosophy.
• Pay attention to detail.
• Be positive and professional at all times; must work as a team; helping fellow employees and managers to ensure the finest possible service is given to our guests.
• Turnover/takeover station/shift according to established procedures (Close to Open).
• During the closing shift, cleans all stainless-steel shelves, puts all condiments away, restocks.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. The minimum age requirement is 18 years old. Health card is required. Must have great people skills, a clean and well-groomed appearance, and to be respectful of everyone. Must read, write, speak, and understand English. Education and/or Experience: Experience preferred but will train willing individual. Mathematical Skills: Basic Math Skills. Language Skills: Must be able to speak and understand English. Physical Demands: Constantly standing, eye/hand coordination, handling, wrist motion, hearing, speaking, seeing, reading, and bending. Constantly walking up to distances of 500 ft. during shift. Occasional lifting and carrying trays up to a maximum of 55lbs. at mid body level, for distances up to a maximum of 500 ft. during shift. Frequently stooping, reaching. Occasionally writing. Work Environment: Work performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment. There are occasional hot and cold temperature changes. Work with others in close spaces. Moderate noise levels.
