Painter Helper

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Painter Helpers, specializing in either Paint Loader or Paint Unloader positions. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the paint line, maintaining quality standards, and contributing to an efficient workflow.

Responsibilities

• Load parts onto the conveyor belt according to paint line requirements and arrange them on carts following specific pallet patterns for stability.
• Perform quality inspections, identifying flawed parts for rework or strip-painting, and manage associated paperwork including reorders and inspection documentation.
• Operate hoists and other material handling equipment safely, maintaining a clean and organized paint area.
• Memorize product line assembly patterns and part placements, and strap larger parts securely to prevent movement or damage during transport.
• Unload painted parts from the conveyor line, arranging them on carts and inspecting for paint quality, identifying any flawed items for rework.
• Manage paperwork related to reorders, inspections, and part tracking, ensuring safe handling of materials and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the paint area.

Essential Skills

• Experience as a laborer in a paint line environment, including loading, unloading, prepping, and assisting with paint tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently and perform repetitive motions such as twisting, bending, and pulling.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 6 months of previous experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred but not required.

Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring consistent lifting of up to 50 pounds and frequent bending and twisting. Be prepared to work in a setting that can get very hot and dirty by the end of the shift, as there is no air conditioning. Successful candidates will need to keep up with the conveyor belt to ensure the line runs smoothly without interruption.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
