Pain Management Nurse Practitioner

Non-profit medical center serving Horry County & surrounding counties 15 minutes outside of Myrtle Beach, SC is looking to add a Pain Management Nurse Practitioner to its team. Pain/spine experience required.

The Pain Management Provider will specialize in diagnosing and treating general orthopaedics conditions, particularly focusing on total ortho pain needs such as hips, knees, foot/ankle, sports medicine, spine and shoulders. This APP will work closely with a multidisciplinary team and a high-quality physician to deliver high-quality Pain Management care and advanced surgical procedures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. The physician will provide care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

• Outpatient and inpatient role
• Standard office hours (Mon-Fri / 8am-5pm)
• Protected administrative time (4 hours per week)
• Call Schedule for Physician s (supervision of physicians will be determined during recruitment based on experience and specialty interest of APP)
• Call Schedule for APP: clinic first then back up call of on call physician
• Support Staff: Dedicated Pain Management nurse, PAs, and experienced surgical teams
• Cerner EMR
• Average Patient Volume: 20+ patients per day
• Demographics: Primarily teen to adult patients with a range of Pain Management issues, focusing on those requiring joint replacement surgeries
• Visit types: Initial consultations, pre-operative planning, post-operative follow-ups, and management of pain management scope of practice issues advised with care plan of supervising physician.
• Procedures: in office bread and butter

Experience Required:

• Orthopedic and pain management experience required as a provider
• Image reading experience required
