Immediate Hiring for Packer

Join our team at our supplemental Rock Island location, where we distribute and repackage parts for various types of agricultural equipment, including combines and tractors. We are seeking diligent individuals to assist with order processing and packaging.

Responsibilities

• Sort boxes and place them on the correct pick pallet for forklift operators.
• Engage in picking and packing products, which range from handheld boxes to large machine parts requiring a lift.
• Utilize an RF scanner for inventory management.
• Load and unload semi-trailers with completed pallets.

Essential Skills

• 6 months of warehouse experience.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Capability to work mandatory overtime.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with packing, production, and general warehouse tasks.
• Familiarity with RF scanners, material handling, and order picking.

Work Environment

Work in a large parts distribution center with a diverse team working towards the common goal of quality. The open facility houses a variety of products and equipment, including forklifts. The environment is inclusive, with a focus on quality and attention to detail. Expect to be on your feet for most of the shift. The performance is measured by quality standards, ensuring high attention to detail is imperative to avoid errors in product shipment. The shifts include 1st shift from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with some mandatory overtime, and 2nd shift from 4 PM to 1 or 2 AM, depending on workload.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rock Island, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
