Packaging Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing and packaging industry, is seeking a dedicated Packaging Technician to join their team. As a Packaging Technician, you will be part of the Packaging and Artwork Department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Packaging Technician
Location: Irvine, CA
Pay Range: $32/hr
Duration: 12 months (potential to extend)
What's the Job?

• Understand artwork and packaging processes and the impact of changes on product labeling
• Review and approve artwork and packaging materials to ensure regulatory and design compliance
• Manage the change process for implementing new artwork and packaging materials while minimizing scrap
• Update standards and BOM for processing products
• Work with planners to manage phase-in and phase-out of artwork and packaging materials

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university
• Strong attention to detail and highly organized
• Ability to work as part of larger cross-functional groups and manage multiple projects
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and independently identify solutions
• Understanding of cGMP practices
