Position Description

We have an immediate opening for a dedicated SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver at Ryder, and we are looking for the right candidate to join our team.

You might be wondering about your paycheck. Expect to earn $1600 or more per week, and it gets even better!

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $30.00 Per Hour
• Travel Time: $20.00 Per Hour
• Work Hours: 50 - 60 hours per week
• Mileage Reimbursement: $0.70
• Per Diem: $50.00 per night when away from home
• Paid Training Provided
• Schedule: Flexible
• Start Time: AM/PM Dispatch

• Deliver SOLO to: East Coast and TX
• Route Type: OTR
• Tractor Types: Sleeper, Day Cabs, and 26' Straight Trucks
• Trailer Types: Dry Van, Conestoga, Flatbed 48', 53'
• Comprehensive Training on all equipment is provided
• Freight Handling: Touch Freight (varies)
• Enhanced license or Passport for Canada travel within 90 days of hire
• Multiple Ryder accounts on the East Coast

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor Vehicle check including previous employment Drug and Alcohol verification for the past 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder Road Test
• Hold a valid Class A CDL with necessary endorsements
• At least 9 months of verifiable experience in a tractor-trailer or similar vehicle in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years, or 5 years in the last 10 years
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply relevant laws, rules, and regulations

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws and regulations
• Identify and minimize safety hazards
• Maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/Unload freight where necessary
• Perform additional duties as assigned
