• Access to a custom PCCA training session that focuses specifically on the complex non-sterile compounding performed at EAP, as well as a hands-on lab component that will occur at our location later this year.
• Participation in staffing in the outpatient pharmacy and compounding lab through a rotation that will include all EAP pharmacists. Prior compounding experience is preferred, but not required.

Provides pharmacy services and ensures the appropriate selection, dosing, administration, and dispensing of medication orders.

A caregiver in this position works day/evening/weekend, 6:30am4:00pm or 11:30am8:30pm.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Provide pharmacy services and ensure the appropriate selection, dosing, administration, and dispensing of medication orders.
• Provide safe, efficient, patient-centered, evidence-based medication services.
• Verify medication orders and/or dispense medications accurately according to state and federal regulations.
• Contribute to medication safety initiatives.
• Document services in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
• Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with national accreditation standards.
• Maintain professional interactions with patients to facilitate successful patient experiences.
• Educate and train students, residents, other caregivers, and/or patients.
• Be accountable for drug use policy adherence.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• PharmD or Bachelor's of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy
• Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible in current state within 90 days of hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) and completion of a Board of Pharmacy approved course in the administration of immunizations within 90 days of hire for those administering immunizations

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Completion of a Post-Graduate Year 1 Residency (PGY1), fellowship or relevant post-graduate pharmacy experience
• Board Certification
• Prior compounding experience

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform the job while standing and walking for prolonged times, approximately 75% of shift and continuously for extended periods of time.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer and dispensing functions of the job; ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Position often includes reaching, stretching, stooping, climbing steps and sitting.
• Must have normal or corrected vision.
• Must have ability to clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
