WellSpan Medical Group (WMG) is seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon for their Adams County location. Individual must be a graduate of an accredited school of medicine with Doctor of Medicine degree plus completion of a medical residency training program in Orthopedic Surgery. He or she must also be Board Certified/Board Eligible.

Position Highlights:

• Employed position with WMG

• General orthopedic call of 1:4

• Fellowship training in hand/upper extremity or spine preferred

• Surgery performed at Gettysburg Hospital, the only hospital in Adams County

• Gettysburg Hospital's busy ED sees approximately 35,000+ patients per year

• Interesting mix of college students, tourists, migrant families and retirees

• Large referral base of WMG family and internal medicine physicians

• Excellent support from an experienced Senior Practice Manager

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or

• Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required

Licenses:

• Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or

• Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training:

• Certification from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery or the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery. Upon Hire Required and

• Completion of an appropriate residency program. Upon Hire Required and

• Must qualify and be a member of the Medical Staff of one or more WellSpan hospitals. Upon Hire Required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Clinical skills and knowledge of emergency medicine techniques and occupational medicine.

• Teaching skills.
