Orthopedic Radiology Technologist

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Radiology Technologist to operate advanced radiologic equipment and produce clinical diagnostic images in collaboration with physicians. In this role, you will also perform routine diagnostic procedures and, as needed, function in a Medical Assistant capacity. Responsibilities:

• Exceed expectations as a leader, whether as a self-leader, leader of others, or leader of leaders.
• Perform a range of diagnostic procedures utilizing state-of-the-art computerized imaging equipment across multiple modalities.
• Adaptively work competently within assigned modalities as necessary.
• Engage effectively with patients and all caregivers, coordinating and prioritizing procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Demonstrate flexibility to rotate across departments and clinics for adequate coverage as required.
• After completing procedures, manage the computer systems accurately to ensure exam data is properly stored in PACS.
• Maintain clean and well-stocked exam rooms to comply with Infection Control standards before exams.
• Ensure all billing codes are accurately entered into the system for all exams performed.
• Protect patient confidentiality by adhering to privacy protocols and only disclosing information when necessary for job duties.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with excellent customer service skills.
• Participate in mandatory meetings and contribute to committees as needed.
• Adhere to health privacy guidelines to prevent unauthorized disclosure of Protected Health Information (PHI).
• Follow established policies and procedures related to quality assurance, safety, and infection control.
• Adapt patient assessments and treatment methods to meet each patient's individual needs.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations, hospital policies, and other applicable standards.
• Demonstrate alignment with the core values of our healthcare organization.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support team goals.

Job Requirements:

Education/Skills

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or an approved equivalent.

Experience

• Preferred: 1 year of experience as a radiologic technologist.
• Basic computer skills are required.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

• Required: Radiography (R) by ARRT.
• State Licensure:
  • Texas: MRT by TMB
  • Louisiana: LRT (R) or (F) by LSRTBE
  • New Mexico: RRT by MIRTP NMED
  • Arkansas: RTL by Arkansas Department of Health
• BLS certification is required.
