FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $21.49 - $27.94 / hour. Compensation based on experience.

Summary:
As an essential member of our eye care team, you will assist eye care providers in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of clinical activities. Your role is critical in maintaining the effective use of medical instruments.

Responsibilities:

• Support eye care providers in delivering patient care directly.
• Conduct basic optometric tests and diagnostic procedures.
• Administer medications and handle ophthalmic scribing functions as directed.
• Assist in minor medical procedures and manage prescription refills.
• Document patient interactions, provide education, and process charges accurately.
• Utilize critical thinking and decision-making skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Ophthalmic Medical Assisting Independent Study Course or JCAHPO Career Advancement Tool (JCAT) within two years of hire.
• Ophthalmic Scribe Certification (OSC) required within 30 days of hire or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification required before start date.
