Position: Operations Manager
Salary: $85,000-$125,000
We're seeking an experienced and driven Operations Manager to lead the daily operations of our custom wood flooring and millwork production facility. This role requires a hands-on leader with deep industry knowledge, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering quality craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate production teams to meet performance goals and deadlines.
Scheduling & Workflow Management: Create and maintain efficient production schedules that maximize resource utilization and minimize downtime.
Production Oversight: Monitor daily operations to ensure smooth manufacturing processes, including raw material handling, fabrication, and finishing.
Quality Control: Implement and maintain rigorous quality standards for all custom wood flooring and millwork products.
Process Improvement: Identify operational inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Safety Compliance: Ensure all operations adhere to health and safety regulations.
Inventory Coordination: Collaborate with purchasing and inventory teams to manage materials effectively.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Minimum 5 years of experience in wood flooring manufacturing or custom millwork.
Proven leadership in managing production teams and optimizing operations.
Strong understanding of woodworking machinery, finishing techniques, and species-specific characteristics.
Experience with scheduling software and production planning systems.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
High attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship.

Preferred Qualifications

Certification or formal training in wood technology or manufacturing.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
Familiarity with CAD software or shop drawing review.
