Operations Internship - Columbia, MD

Convergint is looking for a part-time, enthusiastic, results driven, and forward-thinking Colleague to join our 14-week Operations Internship Program . In this role, you will develop your customer service skills, learn the foundations of Project and Service Management, and support key functions in a Convergint Technology Center (CTC). This program is a great opportunity to build your career readiness skills with the possibility of transitioning into Convergint's College Development Program (CDP) upon earning your bachelor's degree.

What you'll do with "Our Training and Your Experience"

• Learn Convergint's operations, teams, safety protocols, and security systems integration (hardware, software, services).
• Gain exposure to project management platforms such as Spectrum, Smartsheet, and other tools.
• Shadow project managers, purchasing, and finance teams; attend pre-bid and internal handoff meetings.
• Assist with light administrative tasks, including document formatting, file organization, and review of completed project files for lifecycle understanding.
• Midterm Evaluation: Assessment of attendance, punctuality, operational understanding, communication, professionalism, strengths, and areas for improvement.
• Project Closeout Support: Compile and organize documentation (O&M manuals, warranties, as-builts), assist with punch list tracking and prepare closeout reports.
• Subcontractor Agreement Coordination: Draft and maintain subcontractor agreements; collect and track COIs and licenses.
• Material Tracking & Project Invoicing: Assist with material requisitions, staging requests, and preparing draft invoices under supervision.
• Participate in additional tasks such supervised job site visits, WIPs, system cleanup, or internal project reviews as needed.
• Final Evaluation: Performance review, feedback from departments, assessment of initiative and learning, exit interview, and career recommendations.

Requirements:

• Education: Junior or Senior enrolled in Bachelor programs
