Our client, a leading organization in facility management and maintenance, is seeking a dedicated Operating Engineer to join their team. As an Operating Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Maintenance Department supporting facility operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of essential systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully within the organization.

Location: Queenstown, MD

Pay Range: $32.69

Shift: Monday to Friday, 6am-2pm or 7am-3pm (more aligned with first shift), on call for emergencies

What's the Job?

• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across various systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Fire, and Life Safety systems.
• Monitor and record system readings, making adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain safety standards by adhering to hazardous materials policies and maintaining a clean work environment.
• Coordinate with external contractors, monitor work quality, and manage inventory of tools and instruments.

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 0-2 years of experience in maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• EPA 608 Type II Certification required; EPA 608 Universal Certification preferred.
• Proficiency with computer applications such as Word and Excel.
