Oncology Physician Assistant

• Days/Hours: 8AM to 5PM, 5 days per week
• Pay Range: Dependent upon licensure and experience.

Education:

• Nurse Practitioner: Master s or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from an accredited program.
• Physician Assistant: Master s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of practice.
• National certification (e.g., AANP, ANCC, NCCPA) required.
• Certification in oncology or infusion therapy (e.g., ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate) preferred or willingness to obtain within one year.
• Wound Care Certification preferred or willingness to obtain within one year.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certification required.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in specialty care, infusion, wound care or orthopedic settings preferred.
• New graduates with relevant clinical rotations or internships will be considered

This is a rural community of 5,000 population located in Northwest Kansas. It offers a quality lifestyle with affordable housing and an outstanding public school system. A wide variety of outdoor sports and recreational attractions are available locally and within the area. The city is known as the Oasis on the Plains an image due to its progressive educational, medical, cultural and commercial facilities. It's an easy, straight drive to Denver, Colorado Springs or Wichita on Interstate 70.
The Medical Center is a community based, private not-for-profit 25 bed critical access hospital. In providing services for the surrounding region, the clinic draws patients from a nine county area. Hospital acute care admissions in 2016 totaled 575 with 150 Swing Bed admissions, over 1,000 surgeries/procedures, 169 deliveries, and roughly 3,000 ER visits.
