Offshore Tank Cleaning Technician

HPC Industrial , powered by Clean Harbors , is seeking a dedicated and safety-focused Offshore Tank Cleaning Technician to join our innovative and sustainable team. This role involves hands-on work in the field, where you will be responsible for hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and the handling of hazardous materials. Key Responsibilities:

• Prioritize health and safety by adhering to policies and procedures.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor; this may include lifting and moving heavy objects.
• Operate light and heavy equipment, and skillfully use various hand and powered industrial tools.
• Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) properly, including respirators and protective clothing.
• Work in diverse indoor and outdoor environments in varying weather conditions.
• Handle situations with potential exposure to hazardous chemicals and physical agents.
• Operate at various noise levels and within confined spaces, including low-clearance areas.
• Climb ladders and scaffolding to perform duties safely.
• Assist with field sampling activities and the calibration of equipment as needed.
• Conduct safe loading and unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
• Attend compliance and safety meetings, ensuring regulatory adherence.
• Participate in emergency response on a rotating on-call basis.
• Perform any additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Reliable transportation is essential.
• Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
• Flexible availability for emergency response, including weekends and holidays, with potential shifts extending beyond 8 hours.
• Successful completion of a background check, drug test, and physical examination.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Valid Driver’s license.
• Prior experience in tank cleaning is an advantage.
• TWIC card is a plus.
