SSM Health Medical Group is seeking passionate individuals to join our team. As an Occupational Therapy Practitioner, you will play a vital role in evaluating and treating patients with various physical, emotional, cognitive, and psychosocial needs.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' abilities to perform daily living skills independently and design effective treatment plans.
• Implement and monitor treatment plans, documenting patient progress, and making necessary modifications along the way.
• Educate patients and their families about identified deficits and assist with discharge planning, including adaptive equipment recommendations.
• Supervise the care delivered by designated team members in accordance with established regulations and standards.
• Maintain a high level of alertness and safety in the work environment.
• Perform additional duties as needed to support the clinic's operations.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field required for licensure.
• Experience: No prior experience necessary.

Physical Requirements:

• Constant standing and frequent lifting/carrying of objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
• Frequent use of hearing, speech, and vision for effective communication and monitoring.
• Ability to move patients and assist with physical activities occasionally requiring lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent walking, reaching, gripping, and data entry tasks.

Licensure and Certifications:

Certifications such as Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 90 days of employment based on department needs. Licensing is required based on the state of practice.
