Role Overview:

As an Occupational Therapist, you will perform initial evaluations, develop tailored treatment plans, and set achievable goals to help our patients regain their maximum functional abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments of musculoskeletal, neurological, and physiological responses to evaluate patient functionality.
• Create effective treatment plans based on comprehensive patient evaluations.
• Design and fabricate orthotics and adaptive equipment for patient use. Implement treatment protocols utilizing exercise, manual therapy, physical agents, and rehabilitation techniques.
• Provide education and guidance to patients and their families or caregivers regarding identified deficits.
• Guide patients through the discharge process from therapy services and treatment settings.
• Maintain a vigilant and safe working environment.
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field necessary for licensure in your state of practice.
• Experience: Minimum of three years of relevant experience is required.

Physical Demands:

• Regular standing, walking, and engagement in varied physical activities including lifting, reaching, and manual dexterity.
• Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs as well as assist patients when necessary.
• Frequent use of verbal communication and visual acuity for tasks related to patient care.

Licensure and Certifications:

To practice as an OT, you must hold the following licenses and certifications depending on your state:

• Illinois: Occupational Therapist license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation and Certified Hand Therapist certification.
• Missouri: Occupational Therapist license from the Missouri Division of Professional Registration and Certified Hand Therapist certification.
• Oklahoma: Occupational Therapist license from the Oklahoma Medical Board and Certified Hand Therapist certification.
• Wisconsin: Occupational Therapist license from the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services and Certified Hand Therapist certification.

Job Type: Regular, full-time (36 hours/week), Day Shift (Monday-Friday).
