Job Summary:

As an Occupational Therapist, you will evaluate and treat patients with physical, emotional, cognitive, and psychosocial challenges. Your expertise will play a crucial role in enhancing their quality of life.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assess patients' abilities to perform independent living skills safely and effectively, designing personalized care plans.
• Implement treatment plans using appropriate modalities, documenting patient progress, and modifying plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families about deficits and assist with therapy discharge planning, including information on adaptive equipment and support programs.
• Oversee care provided by designated individuals in accordance with established standards.
• Maintain a constant state of alertness and perform duties in a safe manner.
• Complete other assigned duties as required.

EDUCATION

• Required: Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field as mandated for state licensure.

EXPERIENCE

• No prior experience required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Constant standing and frequent walking.
• Lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing up to 25 lbs frequently.
• Use of hearing and speech for effective communication.
• Visual acuity for near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more).
• Occasional lifting/moving of patients and driving.
• Additional physical tasks as listed in the original requirements.

REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS

Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) certification required within 90 days of employment. State licensure is required based on location.
