Occupational Therapist

Your job is more than a job. The Occupational Therapist provides occupational therapy services to all patients including evaluation, treatment planning, treatment implementation, education and documentation. Works with patients to help them achieve a fulfilled and satisfied state in life through the use of purposeful activity or interventions designed to achieve occupational outcomes which promote health, prevent injury or disability to develop, improve, sustain or restore the highest possible level of independence.

General duties include patient evaluation and interpretation of findings, implementation of treatment plan, documentation of services provided, education and training, and communication and coordination of goals and treatment plan.

Education qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited curriculum in Occupational Therapy. Licenses and certifications required include a license to practice Occupational Therapy in the State of Louisiana through the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners (LSBME) and Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
