Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician

Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting for an experienced Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospitalist/Physician to work locum shifts in Lima Ohio (OH). Starting as soon as possible, the role offers ongoing work with a competitive market rate and benefits.

The Obstetrics and Gynecology role:

• Dates of coverage: As soon as credentialed for 3-6 months.
• 10 call shifts per month
• Schedule: 24hr on call - 7a-7a
• Average Number of Admissions per Provider per day: 4-5
• Call Ratio: Full time call for the entered dates
• Required Procedures: C-section and other delivery based procedures
• EMR system details: Meditech and OBIX
• Other Details of Role: 24 hours call for the OB floor
• Estimated Credentialing Time Frame: 1-2 months
• 12 or 24 Hour Shifts: 24
• Hospitalists to Provide GYN Coverage: Yes
• Hospitalists Required to Perform Circumcisions: Yes.
• Hospitalists Needed for First Assist:
• First Assist Available to the Hospitalists: Yes
• Hospitalists to Backup Midwives: No.
• Hospitalists to Backup Family Practice: No but yes too FM Residents. However, we have a Family Medicine Residency clinic who sees OB patients and delivers here. OB Hospitalists will back up those residents.
• Backup Available to the Hospitalists: Yes. (OB/GYN ED Call)

Requirements of the Obstetrics and Gynecology role:

• OH state license; active, unrestricted
• Board certified OBGYN
• OH State DEA
• BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Covid Vaccination- Required or Medical Exemption
