Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician

Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting for an experienced Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospitalist/Physician to work locum shifts in Eureka, California (CA). Starting in as soon as possible, the role offers ongoing work with a competitive market rate and benefits.

The Obstetrics and Gynecology role:

• EMR: Cerner
• Expected patient encounters per day: 5-8
• Average deliveries for hospitalists: 1-4
• Typical cases/procedures: Triage, deliveries, emergent GYN
• NICU Level: II
• Total Hospital Deliveries (annually): 673
• Total Hospital Deliveries (monthly avg): 56
• Estimated Deliveries for Hospitalists (monthly): 1
• Backup available to the Hospitalists: Yes; employed/community providers
• 8 exam rooms
• Avg Hospital GYN surgeries per week: 2.5
• Low Risk Pregnancy 60%
• High Risk Pregnancy 40%
• C-Section: 20%

Requirements of the Obstetrics and Gynecology role:

• CA state license; active, unrestricted
• Board certified OBGYN
• CA State DEA
• BLS, ACLS
• 100 deliveries in past 24 months no assisted, but preformed
• 25 GYN Cases in the last 12 months
