Embrace Your Potential as Nutrition Services Department Manager

• Oversee and manage the departmental budget
• Handle purchasing, receiving, and inventory control of food and supplies
• Ensure compliance with sanitation, temperature, and food handling regulations
• Determine the quality, quantity, and portion sizes of food while ensuring safe handling practices
• Ensure sufficient staffing and management of departmental employees
• Coordinate meal production for both patients and cafeteria services
• Develop menus for the cafeteria as per requirements
• Manage food purchases and delegate duties for special needs and occasions

Qualifications for Success

• Certified Dietary Manager or Dietetic Technician registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, if required by your state
• Active membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, if mandated
• Preference for candidates with an associate degree in food service
• Comprehensive knowledge of nutrition, dietetics, and healthcare food service operations, including H.A.C.C.P. guidelines
• A minimum of three years supervisory experience in food service, preferably in healthcare settings
• Exceptional communication, analytical, decision-making, and independent work skills
