Nutrition Lab Technician (Full Time or Part Time)

As a Nutrition Lab Technician (Full Time or Part Time) for Morrison Healthcare at Mayo Clinic, you will be working on a team that prepares formula and breast milk for neonatal, infant, pediatric, and adult populations. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a collaborative team environment and are detail oriented. Work Schedule:

• Full-time/Part-time
• 24-32 hours/week
• Every other weekend, every other holiday

Prior education and/or experience is preferred but not required.

Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate:
* Customer service skills
* Clear verbal and written communication
* Ability to complete tasks with focus on detail and organization
* Time management and multitasking in daily work
* Comfort with learning new technology and computer system

Day to Day Job:
* Fast paced work environment with high levels of activity
* Collaborate with nurses, registered dietitians, and other care team members regarding breast milk and formula orders
* Prepare breast milk and formula accurately using established recipes and sanitation procedures
* Calculate breast milk recipes based on desired volume
* Navigate computer software to print labels and patient lists
* Identify and label formula and breast milk
* Deliver prepared feedings throughout the hospital
* Clean and sanitize equipment and workspaces
* Receive formula and breast milk products and monitor inventory levels and expiration dates
