Nurse Manager- Cancer & Infusion

Nurse Manager

Manages, coordinates, and evaluates all elements of financial, material, and human resources in the provision of nursing care to assigned groups of patients in accordance with the service and missions of the institution.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which services will be provided or current multi-state Registered Nurse license through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Specialty certification desirable.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

• Advises the Director on the hiring, retention, interviewing, and recruitment of staff.
• Initiates and maintains appropriate personnel records.
• Assists in the development and implementation of on-going educational programs for professional and support staff.
• Provides ongoing feedback to employees concerning job performance.
• Monitors all personnel and current expense budgets.
• Makes recommendations for preparation of the budget for his/her cost center.
• Assures the most economical utilization of time, materials, and resources.
• Communicates effectively with physicians, nurses, and other personnel.
• Promotes customer satisfaction through response to customer perceptions.
• Serves as a resource to appropriate QI teams.
• Participates in various activities to assist the Director in the dissemination of necessary information.
• Monitors current expense and human resource funds.
• Maintains effective communication with Medical Staff, patients, staff, and other departments.
• Through daily rounds, assesses patient/family satisfaction issues and takes appropriate action.
• Assures the adherence of all standards and policies.
• Facilitates the professional development of personnel.
• Plans, organizes, implements, and evaluates the delivery of nursing care.
• Participates in outreach activities in the community.
• Completion of annual required education related to specialty accreditation.
