Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate Nurse Educator Specialist to develop and implement a Corporate-approved orientation program that emphasizes both regulatory requirements in long-term care (LTC) and the core values of Bethesda. This position will involve conducting General Orientation sessions that align with Corporate guidelines while incorporating essential safety protocols related to OSHA and Federal and State regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and conducting in-service training programs based on assessed staff needs and compliance standards.
• Coordinating and evaluating orientation activities with clear focus on safety and effective care for Alzheimer’s residents.
• Creating lesson plans to teach basic computer skills relevant to job duties and guiding staff on using online education resources.
• Collaborating closely with the Director of Nursing (DON) on quality care and teamwork initiatives.
• Leading the development of an ongoing infection prevention and control program to ensure a sanitary and safe environment.
• Participating in quality improvement activities to identify areas for enhancement in resident care processes.
• Providing education to staff, residents, and families regarding infection prevention and control policies.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Nursing School.
• A Bachelor’s in Nursing (BSN) or related educational background is preferred.
• Current RN license in the applicable state.
• CPR/AED certification is required or must be obtained within six months of employment.
• Experience as an Instructor for the Nurse Assistant Training and CMT programs is a plus.
• A minimum of five years of recent clinical nursing experience is required.
• Previous experience in long-term care settings is essential.

Pay Range: $61,604 - $97,375 annually
