SALARY INFORMATION

The expected salary range for the Nuclear Operations Instructor is $102,600 to $114,000, based on experience, along with an extensive benefits package. For the Senior Nuclear Operations Instructor, the expected salary range is $117,900 to $131,000 per year, also dependent on experience.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

In this role, you will leverage your extensive subject matter expertise to analyze, design, develop, implement, evaluate, and modify plant-specific nuclear maintenance and technical training programs, ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Drive performance improvement through effective training programs, coordinating and conducting performance-based maintenance and technical training in line with our TSD model and department procedures.
• Ensure training programs remain current, incorporating insights from INPO Significant Operating Experience Reports, NRC updates, and changes to plant procedures and regulations.
• Prepare examinations and conduct evaluations for trainees in various environments such as classrooms, laboratories, and simulators, providing personalized support to enhance their learning experience.
• Assist with business initiatives, project management, refuel outage support, and special projects to further enhance operational efficiency.
• Engage in audits and prepare responses to any findings to support compliance and continuous improvement.
• Maintain a robust knowledge of plant operations and training methodologies to deliver effective and high-quality training.
• Supervise the maintenance of auditable training records and reports to document training program activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for M&T Instructor

• High School diploma
• 3+ years of technical or craft nuclear experience, or 5+ years of related industry experience
• Strong written and oral communication skills

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Sr M&T Instructor

• High School diploma
• 5+ years of technical background
• 7+ years of related industry experience
• 2+ years of training or educational experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• AS/AA in science or engineering
• 5-7+ years of experience in nuclear power plant technical instruction, or 10+ years in related industry instruction
• 5+ years of nuclear training experience
