Nuclear Medicine Technologist Position

Optum is excited to invite applications for the Nuclear Medicine Technologist position. This full-time role offers a competitive salary ranging from $28 to $55 per hour, along with a generous $10,000 sign-on bonus.

As a key member of our care delivery team, you will undertake a variety of nuclear medicine procedures to facilitate accurate diagnoses and therapeutic interventions. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and specialized nuclear medicine examinations for diagnostic purposes.
• Administer radio-pharmaceuticals and medications for imaging and therapeutic procedures.
• Operate computed tomography (CT) scanners as applicable for PET procedures.
• Accurately provide images, data analysis, and patient information for interpretation.
• Enhance digital images using advanced computer technology.
• Evaluate and improve imaging protocols and technical quality.
• Assist in the accreditation process with the American College of Radiology (ACR).
• Conduct quality control and assist in maintaining efficient departmental operations.
• Review patient charts to ensure proper procedure setup and patient safety.
• Educate and support patients through the imaging process to ensure understanding and comfort.
• Collaborate with radiologists to communicate examination results effectively.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist) certification
• Registration by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (for PET technologists)
• CT Certification within 180 days of hire
• Minimum of 1 year experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in radiography, radiology, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine
