Experience an exciting PRN opportunity for a physician assistant (PA) or nurse practitioner (NP) in emergency medicine (EM)! TeamHealth is seeking a highly motivated PA or NP (NP must be family and acute or family and emergency certified) to join our emergency department (ED) team at Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana, Missouri.

Opportunity Overview

Emergency department: 7-bed ED with APC coverage and limited physician supervision
Flexible shifts:12-hour shifts available

Patient volume: provide care for an average of 14 patients per day
EMR: Cerner
Admission rate: 6%
Pediatric cases: 16% of patient volume
Ambulance arrivals: approximately 4 per day

Minimum Requirements

At least 2 years of EM experience required
Comfort in managing patients independently with limited physician oversight
