Job Title: EVS Technician - North Austin

Job Description

We are seeking an EVS Technician to join our team in North Austin. This role involves the responsibility for cleaning non-occupied patient rooms, which require deep cleaning and thorough disinfection. Duties include making beds, flipping mattresses, and handling linen disposal. You will also be required to clean isolation rooms following strict safety measures.

Responsibilities

• Clean non-occupied patient rooms, ensuring a deep clean and thorough disinfection.

• Make beds, flip mattresses, and ensure entire room cleanliness.

• Handle linen disposal, lifting and placing them into a heavy bag for chute disposal.

• Clean isolation rooms by mopping with a string mop and following strict safety measures.

• Deal with bloody and dirty trash and soiled linen.

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs frequently and push 200 lbs.

• Strong attendance record and punctuality.

• Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, nurses, doctors, and housekeeping team.

• Outstanding customer service skills, capable of working with difficult individuals.

• At least 6 months of previous hospital or hotel cleaning/housekeeping experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Direct experience in hospitals is preferred.

• Very strong individual preferred.

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily a hospital setting where most of the work is done independently, requiring self-starters. The mid-shift runs from 12 PM to 8:30 PM, Monday through Friday with rotating weekends. There are specific dress codes such as no facial piercings, tattoos must be covered, and no heavy fragrances.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.75 - $18.50/hr.
