• Direct and coordinate nursing care, ensuring patient outcomes through teamwork.
• Involve patients and families in care, including teaching and discharge planning.
• Communicate care plans with healthcare team members effectively.
• Assist in defining standards of excellence for patient care and participate in quality improvement.
• Engage in daily operations to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Provide input to the Nurse Manager regarding unit needs.
• Participate in committees to help shape nursing and hospital policies.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with no prior RN experience.
• Valid RN License from Virginia or a reciprocal compact state.
• BSN preferred.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR certification required at hire.
• AHA ACLS and PALS certifications required within 90 days.
• NIHSS (Bluecloud) certification required within 90 days.
