• Direct and coordinate nursing care, overseeing both licensed and unlicensed personnel.
• Engage patients and families in care plans, including teaching and discharge planning.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members regarding patient care.
• Assist in defining standards of excellence for patient care and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to daily operational activities to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Provide input to the Nurse Manager on unit needs and participate in committees.

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with no prior RN experience.
• Valid RN License from Virginia or a reciprocal compact state.
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• AHA BLS Provider CPR certification required at hire.
• AHA ACLS Provider certification required within 1 year.
• NIHSS (Bluecloud) certification required within 90 days.
