• Direct and coordinate nursing care, ensuring effective teamwork for optimal patient outcomes.
• Engage patients and families in care planning and discharge processes.

• Assist in defining standards of excellence for patient care and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to daily operational activities to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Provide input on unit needs to the Nurse Manager.
• Participate in committees to help shape nursing and hospital policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with no prior RN experience.
• Valid RN License from Virginia or a reciprocal compact state.
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• AHA BLS Provider CPR certification required at hire.
• AHA ACLS and PALS certifications required within 90 days.
• NIHSS (Bluecloud) certification required within 90 days.
