Primary Practice Setting: United Hospital (St. Paul, MN)

Provide inpatient neurology consultations, manage acute and chronic neurological conditions, and support post-stroke care.

Participate in a large, collegial team that includes physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and intensivists.

Opportunities to engage in neurology consults supporting hospitals across Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Provides help with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations as part of a physician/nurse team in accordance with the designated specialty. Works in both inpatient and outpatient situations and can perform independently or as part of a treatment team. Serves as an educator, case manager, consultant to staff and multidisciplinary health care team.

Principle Responsibilities:

• Provides clinical care for patients

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree - Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Preferred Qualifications:

• New grads may be considered. Minimum 2 years experience in neurology

Licenses/Certifications:

• Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire
• Certified Nurse Practitioner - American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification within specialty required upon hire
• ACLS-BLS Tier 2 - Multisource required within 180 Days
• Drug Enforcement Administration required upon hire
• Valid Driver's License required upon hire - MN and WI residents must obtain a valid driver's license in their state of residence within 60 days of employment for those working in Complex Care for Seniors, Community Palliative Care and Hospice

Physical Demands:

• Medium Work*: Lifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), up to 25 lbs. frequently

Pay Range: $141,794 to $149,282 per year The pay described reflects the starting base pay range, assuming a full-time FTE. Your starting rate will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
