Network/Systems Administrator

Job Requirements:

Responsibilities:

Strong problem-solving skills, knowledge of systems architecture, and the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff are essential for this role. Responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining an organizations computer systems and networks. Ensure the systems are running smoothly, analyze and solve complex technical issues, and implement system security measures. Also manage system upgrades and monitor system performance to meet the organizations needs. Additionally, they may be involved in creating system backup procedures and disaster recovery plans.

Platform Management:

Strong understanding of platform management tools for server administration, compute, storage, and networking. Knowledge of OTs critical role in maintaining operational continuity.

Server and Virtualization:

Extensive experience managing physical and virtual servers using technologies like VMware and Hyper-V. Expertise in compute resource allocation, performance tuning, capacity planning, and scalable infrastructure deployment.

Windows Server Administration:

In-depth knowledge of Windows Server OS installation, configuration, and management. Proficiency in Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell scripting, DHCP, DNS, IIS, and file/print services. Expertise with Windows security practices such as patch management, firewall configuration, and access control. Strong Automation, SCCM, Power shell scripting background.

Network Management:

Some experience configuring and managing switches, routers, and firewalls. Knowledge of VPNs, network segmentation, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.

Operational Technology (OT):

Preferred experience in OT environments, including systems such as DCS and SCADA.

IT Domain Experience:

Proficiency in Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell, and Windows Server administration for managing users, permissions, and configurations.

Virtualization Expertise:

Hands-on experience with VMware or Hyper-V for deploying, managing, and optimizing virtual environments to ensure system performance and high availability.
