Job Description: Apex is hiring for a Network Administrator for a major healthcare client!

This role is 100% onsite + LOCAL to San Francisco. Compensation: $28-30/hr (overtime rates apply). Schedule: M-F normal business hours.

Responsibilities

• Day to day includes: Troubleshoot and resolve break/fix issues related to Cisco telephony systems, including VOIP phones, routers, and switches within hospital and clinical environments.
• Install and configure new network builds, ensuring proper setup of LAN/WAN infrastructure and Cisco VOIP systems to support clinical operations.
• Perform cabling tasks, including running, terminating, and testing CAT 5/6 cables to support network connectivity across hospital departments.
• Monitor and maintain network performance, identifying and addressing latency, connectivity, or hardware issues affecting clinical workflows.
• Collaborate with IT and clinical staff to ensure network changes and upgrades align with healthcare compliance standards and operational needs.
• Provide Level 1 support and troubleshooting to resolve Network and Telephony issues.
• Assist with ensuring the day-to-day operation, reliability, and integrity of the enterprise voice communications network including, but not limited to client hardware and software issues related to Network Telephony.
• Installing, maintaining, and managing all data network/telephony equipment such as phones, routers, LAN switches, wireless, servers, backup systems, network management and diagnostic tools, etc. under supervision.
• Assist with network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations.
• Perform basic inventory management processes and create equipment RMAs and track these through to problem resolution.

Qualifications

High school diploma minimum. Experience with Cisco, VOIP or telephony. 3-6 years of related experience preferred.

You must have a VALID driver's license as this is a driving role and will require a background check.
