Job Description:

Lead and grow with our Nephrology/Transplant team! Lahey Hospital and Medical Center, Burlington, MA. We're looking for a Transplant Nephrologist who has completed a Transplant Nephrology Fellowship to join our Nephrology and Transplant Surgery divisions at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center.

About the Role:

Join our team of nine physicians and two advanced practitioners to provide exceptional care to patients with kidney disease and hypertension, including a large ESRD population. You'll be involved in both inpatient and outpatient care, working closely with our transplant surgery team. Excellent opportunities for career and leadership development await.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a diverse patient panel with kidney disease and hypertension.
• Participate in outpatient dialysis rounding and monthly office visits for dialysis patients.
• Contribute to busy inpatient consultative services, including CRRT and intermittent HD in our upgraded six-bed inpatient dialysis unit.
• Collaborate with transplant surgery in the close follow-up of both liver and kidney transplant patients.
• Share outpatient coverage equally between divisions.
• Attend weekly transplant meetings (dedicated administrative time provided).
• Participate in a very manageable call schedule with moonlighting opportunities on weekends.

Our Transplant Division is one of the largest in the greater Boston area, performing over 100 liver transplants and 50-60 kidney transplants annually. We're committed to patient care, education, and collaboration.

Teaching & Affiliations:

Lahey Hospital & Medical Center is a major teaching affiliate of UMass Chan Medical School. You'll have opportunities to be actively involved in resident and medical student teaching, including student rotations and the Renal Pathophysiology course at Tufts.
