MRO Buyer

The MRO Buyer plays a key role in managing procurement activities related to maintenance, repair, and operations. This individual will oversee the lifecycle of purchase ordersfrom planning and release to tracking and deliveryensuring alignment with production timelines. The role also involves working closely with suppliers to resolve material discrepancies and support continuous production flow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategically plan and oversee procurement schedules to support manufacturing needs.
• Collaborate with vendors to manage returns and replacements of non-conforming materials.
• Participate in supplier evaluations and audits to ensure compliance and quality standards.
• Monitor inventory levels to maintain consistent material availability.
• Adhere to workplace safety standards and maintain a clean, organized environment.
• Take on additional tasks as needed to support departmental goals.

Required Qualifications:

• 510 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain roles.
• Prior exposure to government contracting and familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
• Ability to interpret technical schematics and bills of materials.
• Understanding of various commodity types and manufacturing processes.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Indirect purchasing experience of 1+ years.
• Background in inventory planning.
• Experience in manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of purchase orders, supply chain, and production planning.

Work Environment:

This role is based onsite in Janesville, with a 9/80 schedule offering every other Friday off. The company boasts a strong culture and environment with very tenured staff, providing room for advancement. Employees' children are eligible for a $13k scholarship for college. The work environment supports a balanced work-life schedule.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Permanent position based out of Janesville, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
