MRI Technologist I - Outpatient

Position Objective:

Performs routine and complex MRI procedures in accordance with established safety and quality standards and the special needs of patients

Essential Job Duties:

1.Processes MRI scan sequencesverifies demographics and technical information checks technical quality of images

2.Participates as member of specialized medical team in performing specialized MRI scans of various organs and ipreparing patients for specific procedures. Reviews pathology, surgical, and other reports to monitor patient progress and provide means for evaluating the accuracy of MRI eaminations

3.Constantly assesses patient’s condition and administers first aid as requiredassists phyicians in cases of adverse reactions or emergencies

4.Confers with the Supervisor to recommend changes, report problems and provide feedback on improving patient care, technical quality and clerical functions

5.Monitors equipment performance and reports problems to the Managerrecords malfunctions as required

Educational/Experience Requirements:

•Successful completion of a one-year accredited program iMRI Technology or RRT MRI certification

•Current with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements

Required License/Certifications:

•Current State of Mryland Licensure (preferred)

•ARRT (MRI) or ARMIRT (required)

•American Heart Association Healthcare rovider LS (required)
