Position Description

Join Torque by Ryder as a Permanent Full-Time Experienced Mobile Auto Technician to support our Truck Fleet in South Plainfield, New Jersey!

This position requires the following qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or Professional diploma preferred
• Three or more years of training and work experience in the automotive field
• Non-Commercial Driver License CLASS E; Valid Commercial Driver License CLASS A preferred
• Ability to adhere to Company policies and create professional relationships
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a dynamic environment
• Complete required training and certification courses within specified timelines

Responsibilities include:

• Diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on vehicle systems
• Conducting routine inspections and maintenance tasks
• Diagnosing and repairing engine components and systems
• Performing brake inspections and repairs
• Traveling to customer locations using a mobile maintenance vehicle
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation of repairs
• Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations
