Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Millwork Shop Operations Manager to lead the daily operations of a busy custom millwork facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing production, supervising shop teams, maintaining quality standards, and driving process improvements to ensure safety, efficiency, and on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily millwork production operations and workflow
Manage production schedules to meet delivery timelines
Supervise and mentor carpenters, fabricators, and shop staff
Ensure all products meet quality specifications and standards
Identify and resolve production bottlenecks or inefficiencies
Coordinate with design, engineering, and procurement teams
Maintain inventory and oversee material handling
Enforce shop safety standards and conduct regular audits
Support team development, performance reviews, and training

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in millwork, carpentry, or woodworking operations management
Strong leadership and team management abilities
Knowledge of millwork tools, equipment, and production processes
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Proficient in ERP/production software and Microsoft Office
Familiarity with lean manufacturing and safety compliance

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Manufacturing, or related field preferred - or equivalent experience
Work Environment:

Based in a millwork shop environment with exposure to machinery
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, and stand or walk for extended periods
Occasional overtime or weekend work to meet deadlines
