Job Position
This position assists the Merchandise Analyst in all aspects of the buying department.
Major Responsibilities:
- Allocate merchandise to stores
- Daily communication with warehouse regarding order maintenance; PO issues
- Write and follow up with purchase orders
- Place buys under direction of Division President and Buyer including written orders and follow up
- All coordination of paperwork and shipping
- Markdown maintenance under direction of Buyer
- Input and classify new styles
- Attach and maintain merchandise UPC's
- Verify invoicing against closed PO's
Specific Job Skills:
- Ability to understand and follow somewhat complex verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively with others
- Must be organized, able to set priorities, and a self-starter
- Job duties tend to be recurring, but occasionally requires attention to and/or coordination of concurrent job duties
- Under direction, examines basic information and/or situations and prepares summaries or draws conclusions for evaluation by others
Education, Licenses, Certificates, Registrations and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years experience in retail or related field
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Language Skills:
- Good verbal and written communication skills required
- Good interpersonal skills required
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $24 - $26/hr. Ranges are based on various factors such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure.
