Mycology Training Curriculum Developer

Develop training curriculum for the mycology onboarding and annual competency programs.

Specific Tasks:

Training Curriculum:

- Develop comprehensive mycology onboarding and annual competency programs

- Create image repository for ongoing mold morphology education in Media Lab

- Identify cases and create case studies to present at lunch and learns for the team

- Coordinate with area leaders both 1-on-1 and group learning sessions for:

Mold morphology and identification

Best practices in mycology

QA in mycology

Contamination prevention and control in mycology

Bench observations for each team member already rotating through mycology

Cross-training Plans:

- Develop cross-disciplinary training for techs (in all areas) within the current cross training plan and staffing constraints

Contamination Control:

- Identify sources of contamination in cultures or misidentification errors.

- Implement best practices for contamination identification and control

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

BS Degree

ASCP is preferred, not a requirement

Must be able to work on-site- 5/8 hour days or 4/10 hours days (Looking for full-time work)

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $42.00/hr.
