Performs analyses on biological specimens, e.g. blood and urine, to aid health care providers in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Participates in the operational support activities necessary to maintain and optimize testing capabilities.

A two-year commitment to this position is required. Shift Differential is paid for off shift hours worked (ex. Pms, nocs, weekends). Relocation is offered to those relocating 70 miles or greater.

Baccalaureate Degree in one of the following:

• Medical Technology (MT)
• Medical Laboratory Science (MLS)
• Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS)

Or Bachelor's degree plus Certificate in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS), Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS), Medical Technology (MT), as recognized by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) is required. An HEW certificate may be substituted for the specified degree.

Associate's degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) program or U.S. military Medical Laboratory-training program.

Experience working in a medical field required. Moderate to advanced computer skills. Possess good written and oral communications skills, the ability to prioritize work, manage time wisely, and adjust to changes in work volumes and projects. Preferred: Phlebotomy. Willingness to travel to other MCHS locations for assignments as needed.

International transcript: MUST have a DETAILED equivalency evaluation. MUST show US equivalent degree. Evaluation MUST be completed from an organization listed as a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) OR the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. (AICE).

Nonexempt. The pay range is $31.79 - $47.71 for MT and $24.72 - $36.10 per hour for MLT. Benefits Eligible: Yes. Full Time. Weekdays: Night shift 2200-0600. Weekends: Every 3rd weekend Night shift 2200-0600. Holidays: Every 3rd Holiday Night shift 2200-0600.
